Katie LaMonica (Godolphin)
Katie has been involved in the Thoroughbred business for the last 17 years, working for Darley as the Stallion Promotions Coordinator since 2003. During the last two years she expanded her role under the Godolphin banner as Charitable Donations Manager for America and is a key member of the Global Godolphin Charity team that has worked to bring together industry bodies from around the world with the aim of creating the common goal of educating and developing Thoroughbred Aftercare.
After graduating from the University of Alabama, she went to work in the catering/conference services department for the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta. She moved to Miami, joining the marketing department at Hialeah Race Track until its closure when she returned to Lexington, becoming Membership Manager for the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association. At TOBA, Katie was in charge of new member recruitment and the coordination of New Owner Clinics at racetracks across the country. She is the Vice President of the Thoroughbred Club of America. She also serves on the Board of Hospice of the Bluegrass and the Advisory Board of the Kentucky Equine Humane Center.
