Peter received a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree, with first class honours, from the University of Sydney in 2006.
Peter was an intern at the Hong Kong Jockey Club before leaving for England to work in equine practice and afterwards, worked as a Veterinary Officer for the British Horseracing Authority. He returned to Hong Kong in 2011 and is currently the Executive Manager of Veterinary Regulation for the Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare and Biosecurity Policy. Peter is a member of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) Horse Welfare Committee, the International Movement of Horses Committee and the Advisory Council on Prohibited Substances and Practices Subcommittee on the Genetic Integrity of Thoroughbreds.
Peter is the current Vice-Chairman of the International Group of Specialist Racing Veterinarians (IGSRV) and a member of the Asian Racing Federation Drug Control Committee.
