The Hong Kong Jockey Club
Amanda joined The Hong Kong Jockey Club in June 2014 to take up the role of Executive Manager of Equestrian Affairs. She is responsible for all matters equestrian, including the Club’s four equestrian centres. Amanda oversees the elite performance programme, which prepares international riders and horses representing Hong Kong in major championships and games. Additionally, Amanda and her team run the retraining programme, which aims to give retired racehorses meaningful second careers in the equestrian industry.
Amanda has a wealth of equestrian experience, having previously been CEO of British Dressage, during the period Great Britain became Olympic and Paralympic Champions and amassed a total of 14 medals for dressage in London 2012. She is the current Chair of the FEI Para Equestrian technical committee, was Technical Delegate for Rio 2016 and has been part of the organizing team for the three previous Olympic and Paralympic Games.
